Dear Men of KONOS,
Have received several emails on the KONOS E-loop this week from mothers who shared their hearts about how blessed they felt by their husbands hearing their plea and allowing them to quit working full time and be at home with their children. You could hear the joy and appreciation these ladies carried with them as they spoke about the great day that they were able to quit working outside of the home and especially when they began teaching their children at home.
Several spoke of the Lord, and their hubbies, finding a way to elevate income to replace their salaries when they never dreamed they would be able to quit working. Others told of their husbands’ sacrificing time at home to stay longer on the job to replace their wives income. These ladies felt so blessed to be able to honor God’s calling on their lives and be stay at home moms.
So, on behalf of all of them, may I praise you for making a way to provide for your family, financially, and working those extra hours so that your wives, the world’s greatest teachers for your children to stay at home and train up the next generation? Thank you! Thank you for your sacrifice of your personal schedule. Thank you for your love of your children. Thank you for your love of your wife. Thank you for honoring God’s nudge that told you to teach your children when you lie down and when you rise up and when you sit in your house and when you walk along the way.
Deut 6:1-9 "Now this is the commandment, the statutes and the judgments which the LORD your God has commanded me to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you are going over to possess it, so that you and your son and your grandson might fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.
"O Israel, you should listen and be careful to do it, that it may be well with you and that you may multiply greatly, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in a land flowing with milk and honey. "Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. "And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. "And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. “And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Men, thank you that you have a vision for your family that is bigger than just watching a baseball game on TV this weekend. Thank you for putting your wife and children first. Thank you for not buying in to the culture that says, “Daycare is better than mothers,” and “Women need to be fulfilled by working and having a career.”
On behalf of the wonderful ladies on the KONOS e-group, THANKS!
Have a great weekend,
Wade Hulcy

P.S. I received another email from a mother who expressed joy unthinkable because her husband had just called her during his work day and said, “Honey, I was checking on you and wanted to see how things were going in school today. I just wanted to know how to pray for you today. I love you soooo much!

Fellas, if we would take this guy’s lead and do the same for our wives consistently, we would have wives who would run through a brick wall for us because they would be filled with love abounding for us. (Our wives want to be cherished and made to feel special!) Try it and let me know if this strategy works.
