KONOS In-A-Box:
The Curricula Explained
There
are two choices for the new USER FRIENDLY Classical KONOS Curriculum.
One is Obedience and the other is Orderliness.
Both are K-8th grade multi-level.
They are separate stand alone units.
Both last 9 to 14 weeks, but MOST families spend 18 weeks on each
manual. Both can
be ordered either alone, with the timeline characters which is a combo, OR
in the KONOS In-A-Box which not only includes the curriculum manual
but also includes timeline characters, resource books, literature books,
and arts and crafts kits all in a neat, suitcase carrying case.
These new user friendly units are so easy to teach from because daily
lessons, a daily Bible study, daily literature analysis, daily creative
writing lessons, and daily hands-on activities are included right in the
curriculum manual. KONOS has also added every help, tip, and where-to-find
imaginable. Either box is a great way to “try” KONOS and build
confidence.

Obedience
Curriculum can be removed from the box and used as a stand-alone unit
study. Obedience provides for 9-18 weeks of science, history, literature,
art, music, and Bible in a fun, hands-on teaching style. This
200-page unit was expanded from 30 pages from the original Volume I of
KONOS. The
Obedience
curriculum includes units on Properties of Light and Authority, Kings and Queens
and Horses and is one of our most popular units ever as
children give reports on Medieval kings and queens, read The Door in
the Wall, build a walk through castle, have a jousting tournament and
finish the unit with a fabulous Medieval Feast.

Obedience
Timeline Characters includes 29 characters including William the
Conqueror, Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria, Roy Rogers and many
more. (Characters only, Timeline Wallchart or Century Lines needed with
first timeline set purchased).

Orderliness Curriculum is much more science-oriented than the
Obedience curriculum and
teaches planets and solar system, calendars and seasons, as well as rock,
animal, and plant classification. It can be removed from the box and used as a stand-alone
unit study. The curriculum provides 9-14 weeks
of science, history, literature, art, music, and Bible in a fun, hands-on
format where kids will collect and mount butterflies, beetles, bugs,
identify and classify flowers, trees, and rocks. The unit concludes
with a wonderful play on classification that is hilarious! Kids dress like Mars, a
thallophyte, a gymnosperm, a starfish and more! Orderliness
