Book, children learn their constellations by posing in constellation positions, determine their own latitude by building a simple cross staff, make fake marble like Marco Polo reported seeing in China, make a floating compass to test direction, as well as create an Aztec eagle headpiece out of crepe paper while they examine the Aztec culture and belief system…..all this to reinforce the history that they are learning about explorers.
